Product Description
Some varieties of algae use floats, sort of like personal life jackets, to keep the algae near the surface of the water where there is more sunlight to capture. These fossil floats look like spheres imbedded in the host rock. The display specimen is about the size of a softball and the smaller, lab study pieces are ping pong ball sized.
