Take a single strip of copy paper, 1” x 8”, and make three cuts and five folds in the correct order and you will have a ready-to-fly helicopter. Once the helicopter is built you can experiment with the surface area and friction, adapt the number and location of the rotors and have a lot of fun experimenting with and adapting the design. Great way to teach the effect of gravity and friction on a falling object, experiment with torque and changing the forces on the helicopter as well as opening the door to imagination and engineering.
